Since the last post, the system has gone from “working locally” to running on production infrastructure:
- Emails are delivering and passing authentication. Real mail flowing through the relay, landing in inboxes at Gmail, Proton, and Outlook
- Self-service enrollment works end to end. Sign up with any DID, enroll any domain you control, get guided through DNS setup. No manual intervention from me (besides manual account approval for now)
- IP reputation is building. Warming started, registered with Gmail Postmaster Tools, Microsoft SNDS, and Yahoo’s feedback loop program
- The relay runs on its own dedicated server now fully separated from my personal infrastructure, with automated deployments
I also talked about the project at the seattle atproto community meetup earlier today, was really nice to see members of the community and share the project in person.
