Keybindings for a client
I guess I’ve been living under a rock, but I didn’t know this was a thing! Herocast is a power-user Farcaster client that in particular has a really cool (IMO) keybindings integration where, instead of j-k just kind of scrolling you down the page it jumps you, one post at a time. And then the post that you’re on, you can click ‘l’ to like, ‘r’ to reply. I found myself replying and liking more stuff than when I just scroll.
Informal Call for Big Indexing Trip Reports / Blog Posts
Cool potential learning-in-public opportunity.
Sports/Live-Event-specific Client!
Beyond custom feeds (which are amazing), could be cool to build for any sort of planned live event (Award Ceremonies, sports stuff) a specific frontend experience.
As an example in that direction, a couple F1 races claude out of the box spun up a listener & web app that just counted driver mentions over time and it was kinda fun to watch the graph alongside the race & see things line up.
Record viewer shaped like Notion
Imagine PDSls but as a Notion clone.
Passport book
Achievements log for using more different atmosphere things in the form of a digital passport book. Achievements as stamps.
Atproto native database product
A database product, not unlike postgress for developers to include in their stack that makes it super easy to set up an app for you with its database and communication to relays or PDS’s.
Excalidraw
The best open source digital whiteboard uses a JSON format. I bet it could be encoded into a record and stored on the PDS.
Geocaching
ATgeo records for caches and posts for finding them / adding stuff to the cache.
PDS Map
Infinite canvas with islands and continents of PDSes with icons of every individual user. See the scale of different PDSes and maybe even animate when people move.
