Totally. Maybe it confused the earlier conversation here a bit, but when I used the word ‘universal’ I wasn’t imagining the penultimate ‘app profile’ to take precedence over any other, but rather a unifying ‘PDS profile’ for hosting and managing them all in one place.
My (to-be-defined) PDS profile is basically like my email (enhanced by Google oauth) profile, which is a very common way for legacy apps to seed a new profile with basic data.
The same could be the case for AT apps if no other external app (Bluesky, Tangled, Blento..) has been specified as the default profile source.
And on my PDS account page, like eurosky.social/account, I’d have an overview of the different app-profiles I’ve got set up, and which of those are acting as profile-proxies for others.
