I’d like to share you rpg.actor which is a fun little project we’ve been working on for a minute that allows users to hold various D&D / TTRPG character sheets, along with a pixelart sprite in your own records, already compatible with multiple game systems.
What this allows is a fairly interoperable system for users to login to different games with their handles, have their persistent character sprite and stats, as well as a .master record from the game providers (or tabletop GMs!) to validate characters for their campaigns.
As lifelong fans of RPG Maker we’ve published a free sprite generator on the site that’s completely compatible with the engine, as well as a plugin suite and sample project that lets you login via OAuth (game-to-browser) pull / print relevant records, populate NPCs from the public compendium, and begin building out fresh experiences.
To launch the experience we’re hosting a GAME JAM from April 1 - 20 for all engines!
We’re giving away a rare boxed copy of RM2k as first prize, along with creator accounts to the top five submissions, which let folks create characters and hand them off to others!
