I’m a bit confused that there are 2 very similar forums:
I understand that Lexicons are just a subset of the AT Protocol, but I still feel like a category would be enough for it - unless there are plans for both to have separate communities. Does anyone have more information on this?
Thanks for the answer
Lexicon Community is a narrowly scoped but also very load bearing part of collaborating. The goal of LC and the Technical Steering Committee is to help support creation and coordination around community lexicons which are collectively owned. Disclosure: I am on the TSC and helped do some forum set up there.
It has evolved some processes around working groups and lexicon management with a certain level of formality that pre-dates this Discourse forum existing, created and support by Nick.
Nick, wearing his AT Community Fund hat, also hosts / devops this site. This site is still pretty new and its evolving to see what can be run here / who wants to use it.
It may make sense to merge the two at some point. Right now, there isn’t enough energy or bandwidth to do anything about it.
TLDR If you’d like to get involved in shared creation & coordination of community lexicons, go to LC. For a much broader set of things, including explicitly not technical things, here’s a spot for it.
Figuring out what is NOT a fit for here is another interesting question.
