hey yall, dropping notes about building govt websites and integration of the AT Protocol.
here’s what i would be looking to do (if there is interest):
-building websites for govt entities//sell with content management service (tiers of svc from web hosting, same day ticket svc, total complete management)
-need to learn any and all information about hosting provider and servicing
notes:
-site frameworks are to include a content management system for agendas, minutes, budgets, audits, ordinances, public notices, applications and forms, and other important documentation
-calendar for events (meetings, recreation events, festivals, etc.)
-each public body (my definition of such is defined by NJSA 10:4-6 under the Open Public Meetings Act of NJ), and subsidiary bodies affiliated under the govt entity, should have its own content management tree for meeting/other important docs
-each department of the govt entity should have its own page for pertinent info about what the department manages in its day to day operations, as well as contact info and applications to be received by each department
-build feeds for public notices
(for example, a feed for the City of Fakebelieve Mayor and Council public notices, and a separate feed for the City of Fakebelieve Planning/Zoning Board public notices - keep these channels clearly defined for the ease of the public who are using the information to organize their community concerns)
note: number of feeds could vary per town desires.
- also build feeds for community events/governing body announcements (community announcements for things that are required by law)
-using NJ as an example, the Open Public Records Act of 2002 defines that content produced on social media are public records, and subject to retention policies of the state. A Metadata capture policy would need to be established and maintained to comply with state laws.
