New category requests

I was hoping we could get a couple new categories for folks to collaborate and work in!

1. local/regional groups: it would be great to have our discussions under a common category so we can collaborate and share resources

2. meta: for when we want to discuss this forum itself, organization, requests like this, lmao

Great idea, and I even had a first post to categorize in there with @quillmatiq.com’s request for a subdomain

Atproto.community Account Handles for Local Event Groups

Yes absolutely happy to make subdomains available. I’ll let you know when we’ve set the DID. We need to catalog the community infra that the community fund stewards, from domains to this forum, ATgeo server etc.

Regional Meetups now exists as a top level category.

For meta … I’d like to not spawn extra forums that aren’t very active. I think Discussions with the meta tag works for now?

Does someone have time to make a better preview image for this forum? We ended up with a really nice one for Smoke Signal Should mention some of the following Community Forum (or some call to action → “Join the Community Forum”) Gustopher source files on github URL maybe but also optional
