Wednesday, Nov 5th - Morning BOF

The BOF is on Wednesday morning. Some people will be in person, a lot of us aren’t going to pay for full price IETF tickets and I guess stream it from somewhere? Unplanned so far!

Please do add other plans / notes directly into the wiki.

Mon / Tue would be much more convenient for me, to not be traveling across two weekends in a row.

And @bnewbold.net to confirm - you would come out for and help wrangle hackathon?

I’m not sure yet: flights to Montreal are long and I may not get there until late in the evening on Saturday. But I’ll probably be at the hackathon at least on Sunday.

My current plan is to arrive Sat and stay until Wed

ok! I booked my flights, arriving Saturday Nov 1st 7pm: maybe a late dinner @ngerakines.me @wesleyfinck.org @bnewbold.net?

Registered for the IETF Hackathon on Sunday.

@gov.glados.computer let’s plan for a Monday evening get together at the cafe and make that the social? We could invite montreal community out for that?

Still have to find some space to work out of Mon/Tuesday but I think it’s a smaller crew. Anyone else planning to be there in person should reply in this thread.

Ooh we can also book a room at Crew Cafe in the old port; I can update the other thread.

Yeah please! Would be great to get something sorted.

I finally got my new ID so I can return afterwards, though I debated that phase lol

Still need to book tickets and lodging, up to split an Airbnb. I’m planning for 4-5 days

Hey @gov.glados.computer we got ECTO confirmed by @maparent.ca so we’re good there.

Can we confirm Monday night at Nocturne? Is 6pm - 8pm OK? Do we need to order ahead?

Confirmed! No need to order ahead.

Just to update with my plans:

Sunday: Will be at the Hackathon all day. I added an registration entry to the wiki. I will probably be chatting with drive-by IETF folks interested in AT as much as any actual coding or organizing. Danny has an AT sync project we may hack on if we get time. I’m not planning to do a summary presentation, but folks are definitely welcome/encouraged to do so! There is a welcome reception / drinks after the hackathon. Will try not to stay out late.

Monday: I am likely to be in sessions and meetings at IETF most of the day. Can probably meet up in the evening.

Tuesday: Have a session in the morning, maybe try to come to off-venue space for the afternoon. It looks like an hour walk or a 15 minute taxi. Won’t be out late.

Wednesday: BoF session in the morning. Will probably be around IETF afternoon, could meet up evening.
